Ingredients:

1 ½ oz (45 ml) Japanese Whiskey

1 oz (30 ml) Sweet Vermouth

¼ oz (7.5 ml) Ginger Liqueur (such as Domaine de Canton)

Lemon Twist (for garnish)

Akashi Blended Whisky, Japan – 750 ML

Instructions:

Fill a mixing glass with ice. This will help chill the drink and dilute it slightly, creating a smooth and balanced cocktail.

Add the Japanese whiskey, sweet vermouth, and ginger liqueur to the mixing glass.

Using a bar spoon, stir the ingredients gently for about 30 seconds. Stirring chills the drink without over-diluting it.

Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass.

Express the lemon twist over the glass to release the citrus oils, then add it as a garnish.

Tips:

Explore different Japanese whiskies to find your favorite flavor profile. Bourbon or rye whiskey can be substituted, but the taste will differ slightly.

Sweet vermouth adds depth and complexity. Carpano Antica Formula or Cocchi Vermouth di Torino are good choices.

Don't have ginger liqueur? You can muddle a small piece of fresh ginger in the mixing glass with the other ingredients before stirring.

Sweet vermouth adds some sweetness. If you prefer a drier drink, use a ¾ oz pour of sweet vermouth.
