2 oz London Dry Gin

¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice

¾ oz Simple Syrup

1-2 Tbsp Red Wine (light-bodied like Pinot Noir or Beaujolais work well)

Lemon Twist or Maraschino Cherry (for garnish)

Instructions:

Fill a rocks glass with ice and let it sit for a minute to ensure it's properly chilled. Discard the ice before adding the ingredients.

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill and dilute the drink. Strain into the chilled rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
