"Very Smooth. Barceló Gran Añejo rum shows the same beauty in your glass as in its new bottle. An attractive mild copper color is your first clue that Barcelo Gran Añejo is out of the ordinary. The aromas are superior to what we normally expect at this price: very smooth, refined alcohol delivering a vegetal cane sweetness over heady caramel, oak, vanilla, tropical spice and tangerine peel, then new leather and mild fresh dry tobacco, with a hint of coconut. The initial taste builds from there, with additional sweet honey, fresh leather, vanilla and a bit of white pepper. In a word; Sugarcane.
